January 1980 finds me in Australia and New Zealand doing
concerts and also teaching clinics at the conservatory in
Sydney and at the University in Melbourne. The concerts
were in such cities as Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch,
New Zealand as well as Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide
and Perth, Australia.



Truly a wonderful experience and I had some marvelous students. The northern hemisphere summer found me at the summer festivals
in Europe and the fall found me in Japan. I also had the opportunity to record the album "Lotus Flower" by Woody Shaw on the ENJA record label. One of my compositions entitled "Game" is on this album.
